Information about "free" Microsoft Visual J++ 6.0 Software

Students, I am aware of two ways to get VJ++ "free" (well, almost free)! Here they are:
1. The Technology Zone in the SDSU Bookstore on campus "rents" Microsoft software (similar to renting a video at Blockbuster Video). You give them a deposit (about $20 per CD) and pay a nominal fee for the "rental" (about $20 per CD). You then get the Microsoft software on CD for you to install and use FOREVER on your computer. Microsoft's Visual Studio software CD set includes Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual J++, Visual FoxPro, and Visual InterDev. The "rent" for this CD set is about $40 (I think) plus another $40 or so for the deposit which you get back when you return the CD's. You can also get JUST the Microsoft's Visual J++ software CD and it should be about $20 deposit plus $20 rent fee.
2. You can download Visual J++ 6.0 from a Microsoft website. This will be a 30-day Trial Use of the Product (the real product but with a 30-day time bomb). The download is 39MB (one big file or 8 smaller files). Go to the following Microsoft Web site and sign up to become a FREE member of their MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network):
http://msdn.microsoft.com/community/join.asp
After signing up GO directly to the following link (note: the download is 39MB):
http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/tools/visualj/default.asp
I hope this helps you.
