General Comments
  • For homeworks, please place all homework assignments on tuckoo into the following directory structure:
        /home/your_account/cs596/hwX
  • You can create subdirectories if you like. I suggest that you develop in another directory, as I will be checking the timestamps on the code to see if it is done on time or has been modified after the due date.
  • I plan to visit the directory and try to run the codes myself.
  • In general, all problems should be run using a batch script.
  • There is no pre-review of homework. You can ask questions during office hours, or email the instructor with problems or general questions about the project, or to clarify/ask for more detail about the homework.
  • The grades will be weighted (typically, but the distribution may vary sligthly, depending on the assignment) in the following way:
    • code operation: 50% --> does the code produce the expected results? README files to explain how to run the codes is useful.
    • code quality: 20% --> is the code well written, readable, organized, etc.
    • writeup: 30% --> is the report well written, readable, organized, etc.
snippets and I'll advise where I can, and when appropriate.
