Area with GeoBoards
Directions: Determine the area of each GeoBoard figure. You should click here to download a pdf file with each of these shapes so you can write on them and have a record of your work. As you are solving these, you may note that some of she shapes lend themselves to using an additive approach, while others are better suited for a subtractive approach (i.e., where you look at a larger shape surrounding the actual shape and then subtract out the unused portions). Once you have computed the areas, enter each in the appropriate box below each shape. When you have finished, you can check your answers below.
