Plotting Linear Functions via x and y Intercepts

How to use this activity:

  1. Use the algebraic techniques from the lesson to find the x and y intercepts for each of the linear equations shown in the exercises to the left.  Click here to see a reminder of this procedure from the lesson text.
  2. Use the dynamic graph below to plot the intercepts and graph the line.
  3. As a bonus, find the slope of the line as well.
  4. To check your work, click on the  "Show Solution" button under each exercise.

Exercises Dynamic Graph in the Cartesian Plane

1. y = -x + 3
