Fournier, A. (1998). Bonjour de France. Le Français à Votre Portée
Exercise Type: In general, the exercises on this page are good. Students have to read and then answer some multiple choice questions. It also has some games and cultural information. Objectives: The objectives of these exercises are not stated. The activities are arranged in four levels, from beginner to advanced. The exercise does not cover a specific grammar point. After reading a paragraph the student has to test himself. The quiz consists of 5 to 10 questions. The questions are to test the student's reading comprehension and grammatical points. Instructions: Although my French is not too good, I understand and follow instructions very well. The instructions tell the student about some hidden boxes where they can find very useful information about grammar and culture. And it let the students know if the answer is right or wrong but the student can not change his answer. Value: I believe this page is very relevant to the learning of a given topic, especially in the reading area. These exercises cover both the reading skill and grammar. Reusability: I would definitely use this exercise if I were teaching French. Students would be able to practice their reading skills and they can learn some vocabulary at the same time.

Hurst, L (1998). English Exercises Online.
Exercise Type: In this page, there are multiple choice exercises, puzzles, fill-in-the-blanks. The exercises were created with the software package "Half-Baked Potatoes." Objectives: The objectives in these exercises are not too clear, in many cases I could not complete them. In the beginner's level it's stated what grammatical point is being covered. The title gives the impression that the page will be only in English but then as we move on some pages are in French. Instructions: The instructions are clear. It is stated what to do and in some exercises it specifies that the exercises are long (too long). Some fill- in-the-blank exercises are too long, and the vocabulary it's at the very end of the page. Value: In my opinion, these exercises could be more relevant if some changes were made. For instance, specify the grammar points that are being covered and shorten some of the activities. Reusability: "Half Baked Potatoes" is a good program to create exercises and I would use it to create similar exercises for my classes.
