Biography

Ed Lauer is a student at SDSU in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Spanish Linguistics. He is currently working at Mission Bay Aquatic Center as adjunct faculty for the Exercise and Nutrition Sciences Department. He is a senior Water Ski Instructor and Assistant Program Coordinator. He also works at UCSD Medical Center as a Hyperbaric and Emergency Medical Technician. He will graduate in the Spring of 1999 and plans of pursuing a career in the U.S. Army as an Armored Officer.

Projects

The incumbent is currently working on a New Wakeboarding Manual for the Missiona Bay Aquatic Center and developing a training program for preparing new water skiing instructors. Besides these manuals, he is also developing a manual for the San Diego Sheriff's Departments Dive Unit (USAR). Ed Lauer is also a Shrine Mason and a volunteer driver for the Good Samaritan Club which drives children from the Mexican Boarder to Los Angeles and back - in one complete day. To top off a months full of work, Mr. Lauer is a member of the California National Guard where he a member of the 2nd Brigade 4th Infantry Division Mechanized. His MOS is a 19K10, which is an Armor Crewmen. Mr. Lauer ha many projects going on simultaneously, however, the most importatnt one is his Master's Degree at San Diego State University, in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese.
