Case Discussion Questions for August 09, 2006:


1) How would you define bribery? Grease payment? Tips? Extortion?

2) When does tipping and grease payments become bribery?

3) Have you ever been in a situation where you saw a red flag for bribery?

4) Do you think that making companies pay for their bribery is fair even if it is considered common industry practice?

5) Is cutting corners in order to get a product to market worth the financial risk and potential damage to a company’s reputation?

6) If bribery, or some other ethical misconduct, was necessary for you to get your country, city, or community the necessities of life, does it justify your actions?

7) Is paying someone else to do the crime the same as doing the crime yourself?
