Case Discussion Questions for July 26, 2006:

1) Do individuals have a responsibility to the environment beyond our own best interests?

2) Do companies?

3) If environmental responsibility conflicts with responsibility to other human beings (say, jobs vs. environment), which is more important? Under what circumstances would responsibility to the environment outweigh responsibility to shareholders or employees?

4) Does just promoting a "green" image avoid facing environmental issues?

5) How much credit should a company get for promoting environmental causes? What sort of premium would you pay for a company’s products if they helped the environment?

6) How much of corporate environmental responsibility is really just greenwash?
