4) The 'business lore' is that rewards ought to be established not based on justice, but rather based on their ability to motivate workers. What is it that motivates workers, and what does this imply about rewards?

5) How much compensation would you require, if you were left to do 'meaningless' work?

6) Think back to Frederick Taylor, and Schmidt. What were Schmidt's rewards for work under Taylor's system of Scientific Management, and how did these rewards differ from the 'old system'?
