I have been working as a professional statistical consultant since 1989. Much of my experience and skills are not well represented on an academic CV. This document provides an overview of my professional experience and background as a biostatistician.

Research Fields

Biostatistics. Application of advanced statistical techniques to a wide range of problems in biology. In the past 12 years, I have worked on projects in psychology, optometry, biomedical research, environmental studies, and ecology.

Quantitative Ecology. Integration of empirical, statistical, and computational approaches through design of surveys and experiments and the development of data defined simulation models. Ecological impacts of global climate change, understanding complex population dynamics, ecological relevance of biodiversity, and scaling from individuals to populations to ecosystems.
