What is Women's Studies?

 

When you think of Women's Studies, two major concepts to consider are feminism and activism. Listed below are Webster's New World Dictionary (1990) definitions of these terms.

feminism: "the movement to win political, economic, and social equality for women"

activism: "the taking of direct action to achieve a political or social end"
