Each of the MFA courses in Creative Writing is taught by an award-winning poet, essayist, or fiction writer(as well as a visiting artist, lecturer, editor, researcher). We have a distinguished faculty, all with an extensive body of published work, who agree upon the same professional principles of running an MFA Program. We view our aesthetic diversity as a strength of the program. Students will find a varied and informative approach to the writing process with each writer they study with. What remains common practice is our willingness to privilege the thesis dialogue. It is not unusual for members of the MFA Faculty to have manuscript consultations with a student over a two or three year period. |
