Study Abroad
There is no need to avoid majoring in Spanish because of any difficulties in satisfying the study abroad requirement. The department has devised alternative ways of satisfying this requirement. The requirement is to complete a minimum of 6 units of credits in an approved program in a Spanish speaking country.
The department currently has active programs in Madrid, Spain, and Alajuela, Costa Rica. Please see Contact Information below for these programs. We are currently working on programs in both Argentina, and Tijuana. Please e-mail the department Chair about these programs (ablanco@mail.sdsu.edu). For alternatives ways of satisfying this requirement please contact either the Undergraduate Advisor, Esther Aguilar (1aguilar@mail.sdsu.edu), or the department Chair.
