Graduate Teaching Associate Positions

  • Apply for Fall 2007 positions (Deadline March 15, 2006 or until positions are filled)
  • Apply for Spring 2008 positions (Deadline October 20, 2007 or until positions are filled)

A limited number of positions for graduate teaching associates in Spanish is available for qualified students who wish to pursue graduate studies in Spanish at San Diego State University, leading to a Master of Arts degree.

Candidates must have completed a Bachelor's degree in Spanish (or a closely related major) by May 2006) for fall positions) or by December, 2006 (for spring, 2007 positions). The stipend for a T.A. position is approximately $11,091 per year, based on a teaching load of two 4-unit classes each semester. Teaching involves class preparation and attending meetings 1 to 2 hours per week with other TAs and faculty supervisor.

You can apply for the Teaching Associate Position even though your application to the Master's program is in process.
