Dr. Peter LinquistLindquist’s research is focused on identifying the educational needs of translators, interpreters, and advanced language-learners through methodologies adapted from corpus-linguistics and discourse analysis. His dual-focus analytical model examines both the formal and functional aspects of mediated language to provide empirical evidence of performance patterns and their impact on translated text and interpreted discourse. Lindquist is President of the Society for the Study of Translation and Interpreting (SSTI) and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Translation and Interpreting Studies Association (ATISA). His performance-assessment research has been published in North America, Europe, and Asia.
