Japanese Language Program | Scholarship

In 2011-12, the Japanese Language Program received generous contributions from Kyocera International, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Union Bank, H.I.S. International Tours, IACE Travel, and the SDSU Office of International Programs.

SDSU President Elliot Hirshman, Tina Khieu, winner of the 2012 Kyocera Scholarship, Kyocera President John Rigby, and Kyocera Vice-Chairman Rodney Lanthorne. 

The 29th Annual Awards Presentation Reception was held on May 1, 2012. Eighteen students received scholarships totaling $8,350 for outstanding performance in Japanese language classes.  Twenty additional students were recognized for their outstanding achievements by the Japanese Language Program.
