Director
Opened the San Diego office in January 1987 and spent the next
year organizing and staffing the various AEA committees with volunteers
from the local member companies. The committees were: State Governmental
Affairs, Federal Governmental Affairs, Membership, Public Relations,
Small Business, Human Relations, Marketing and Sales, Programs,
Chief Financial Officer while complimenting the existing Executive
Committee and C.E.O. organization.
Hewlett-Packard Company Oct. 1955 - Nov. 1986
Built sales team from 2 to approximately 150 over the years. Served
as Staff Engineer, Field Engineer, District Manager, Branch Manager,
Branch General Manager and Calculator and Personal Computer Customer
Representative. At times in charge of office operations including
hiring, order processing, service and sales while always responsible
for a direct customer relationship.
Cohu Electronics June 1954 - Oct. 1955
Field Engineer
Responsible for field sales and installlation of line of closed
circuit television and d.c. power supplies and amplifiers. Maintained
relationships with the field sales representative organization,
which Cohu shared in common with Hewlett-Packard.
Philco Corporation July 1950 - June 1954
Field Engineer
Assigned to an Air Force contract, responsible for installation,
operation, maintenance, and training of heavy ground radar. Later,
became responsible for all training programs for heavy ground
radar in Northern California (6 sites) and airborne radar (1 Air
Force base).
Married to the former Marcia Drummet, February 1951. Three daughters:
Leslie, age 32; Connie, age 30; Becky, age 27.
