The Japan-U.S. Telecommunications Research Institute

The mission of the Japan-U.S. Telecommunications Research Institute (J-USTRI) is to provide a forum for Japan and the U.S. to share common interests and concerns about trends in technology and public policy; and where possible, cooperate on developing an agenda leading to the creation of new communications infrastructure, both in Japan and the U.S., and importantly through the Pacific so as to maximize the potential of advanced communication technology for the benefit of an emerging Pacific community.
