Carole Putko
Carole Putko (University of Southern California, 1996) is
the Undergraduate Social Science Advisor and an historian
of Early Modern Europe with an emphasis on France and the
Guise family. She teaches European history, including Tudor/Stuart
England and the French Revolution, Women’s History,
Western Civilization, and the History of Sexuality. She is
currently working on a monograph based on her dissertation “The
Pursuit of Power: Charles de Guise, Cardinal of Lorraine,
A Study in Complexity, Controversy, and Compromise.” She
is also the director of two Study Abroad Programs: the London
Semester Program and the Italy Semester Program.
