  • Karen Wooten was recognized as the Outstanding 2007 ENS Graduate Student
  • Dan Cannon won first place in the Health, Nutrition, and Clinical Sciences graduate division at the 2007 CSU Student Research Competition for his study, Recruitment of serratus anterior (SA) as an accessory muscle of ventilation during graded exercise
  • Dan Cannon won first place in the Health, Nutrition, and Clinical Sciences undergraduate division at the 2006 CSU Student Research Competition for his study, Effect of pedaling technique on cycling efficiency
  • Michelle Barrack won first place in the Health, Nutrition, and Clinical Sciences graduate division at the 2006 CSU Student Research Competition for her study, Prevalence of the female athlete triad in high school cross-country runners.
  • Dan Cannon received the Norman James award for his presentation, Effect of pedaling technique on muscle activity and cycling efficiency at the 2006 Southwest Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting
