M.S. in Exercise Physiology

What Kind of Graduate Students Are We Searching For?

One of the strengths of the Exercise Physiology master’s program at San Diego State University is the research activity of its faculty.  They and their students regularly publish their research findings in some of the top peer-reviewed journals.  Another strength of the program is the range of research interests of its faculty.  They are investigating
  • oxygen uptake kinetics
  • sweat glands function
  • thermoregulation
  • effect of exercise and lifestyle on bone health
  • female athlete triad syndrome
  • exercise and diabetes
  • non-lethal restraints used by law enforcement

We encourage any qualified student who shares an interest in these research areas to apply to our exercise physiology graduate program.  We are interested in students who want to gain laboratory and research experiences that will help prepare them for their future professional endeavors. A number of research, teaching, and graduate assistantships are available for students that also provide professional experiences and better career preparation.  Look through our website to learn more about the Exercise Physiology master’s program at SDSU.
