EMC Internship Program
Employer For-Profit
The EMC's Entrepreneur Internship program was originally established in 1998 with a grant from the Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurial Leadership. The program places talented and motivated SDSU graduate students with emerging growth companies, venture capital firms and service organizations to foster entrepreneurial initiatives. Companies gain talented employees while providing students exposure to real-life situations that can not be taught in the classroom setting.
Why Hire a SDSU MBA Intern?
SDSU graduate students are hungry for real-world experience in a dynamic environment and will apply talent and expertise to your strategic initiatives. A SDSU MBA intern is capable of:
| - developing marketing strategy | - operations review and assessment |
| - business plan analysis | - performing strategic product analysis |
| - financial analysis & modeling | - competitive marketplace due diligence |
These types of strategic projects can be completed at a fraction of the costs associated with new hires or engaging consultants. EMC internships are all paid opportunities and typically last 150 hours per semester. Once a suitable candidate is identified, the company is invoiced up-front for the intern’s total compensation, EMC program administration and all employee taxes and social security. The graduate SDSU intern actually becomes a temporary employee of the SDSU Research Foundation.
