Entrepreneurial Management Center

Venture Challenge is a learning experience for all that participate. To continually allow all students and future entrepreneurs to gain from others' experience at this competition, the EMC, with the support of our sponsors, records and hosts video of past Venture Challenge finalists' presentations.

During this competition, students make an in-depth twenty minute Powerpoint presentation to an experienced panel of potential investors and entrepreneurs, followed by an intense twenty minute Q&A session. In past competitions, teams would also present an "Elevator Pitch" that succinctly describes their company in under 2 minutes.

Below are the finalist team presentations from recent Venture Challenge competitions. 2006 videos contain both the presentation and question & answer period. Earlier videos are divided as noted.

Additionally, these videos serve as an excellent teaching tool for business plan development, presentation, and analysis. The course matrix details a 50-minute, 75-minute, and 160-minute course format, in which students actively watch the presentations and work through the evaluation forms in analyzing the business plan presentations.
