The EMC supports entrepreneurial companies of all sizes and in all stages of development, through a suite of programs that offer business education, networking opportunities, professional development, intern placement, and more. Whether your company has ties to SDSU or is simply looking for new ways to connect with the entrepreneurial and business community in the region, the following can further your business and professional goals:
The EMC Business Forum- The EMC Business Forum was conceived to meet unique needs of local family and closely held business. This program offers events which are open to the public, as well as roundtable discussions and other services and events specifically for members.
Internships
- The internship program places talented and motivated MBA students with entrepreneurial companies to work on strategic projects.
Venture Challenge
- Companies can get involved with Venture Challenge, the EMCs annual international business plan competition, by attending events and presentations, serving as judges or moderators, or sponsoring this signature EMC event.
EMC Emerging Growth Workshop
- The EMC Emerging Growth Workshop ensures optimal entrepreneurial development for member companies by providing educational tools and professional coaching to early stage, emerging growth and start-up businesses in the San Diego region.
CCAT
- The Center for the Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT) awards grants to assist companies in commercialize technologies with homeland security and defense applications.
Entrepreneurial Resources
- The EMC has compiled a list of resources to help emerging-growth companies find information and services. Additionally, we have a posted some documents which companies may find useful.
The Executive Assistant Forum
- The Executive Assistant Forum (TEAF) is designed to help CEOs, presidents, and managers further the productivity and efficiency of their offices by providing their assistants with educational tools to help deal with issues that are relevant to their positions and work environment.
Jobs
- Our Job Board is available for recruiting students to fill open positions. After registering, organizations may post job openings.
Business Alumni Network
- The Business Alumni Network partners with the EMC to offer entrepreneurial events, forums, and special activities targeted to those interested in starting or growing their ventures.
