Faculty Recruitment Now Underway for CCAT

The Entrepreneurial Management Center and CCAT are recruiting faculty supervisors to lead student teams in performing commercial market analyses and marketing/business plan development. Faculty supervisors will be exposed to the latest in advanced technology, have the opportunity to interact with leading industry experts, and receive compensation for their participation.

If your project requires a consultant please review the following requirements.

Consultant can be hired to provide additional services for CCAT teams. These individuals will fall into one of the following categories:

  1. 1. Technical Advisor
    This person may be an MBA student who has already graduated or an individual with technical knowledge who does not qualify as a consultant. The technical advisor works as part of the CCAT team and is supervised by the Faculty Project leader.
  2. 2. Outside Consultant
    As a consultant, he/she will work apart from the team and be responsible for a deliverable. This individual must also meet all of the following requirements.
    1. Profit or loss. Can the worker make a profit or suffer a loss as a result of the work, aside from the money earned from the project?
    2. Investment. Does the worker have an investment in the equipment and facilities used to do the work?
    3. Works for more than one firm.
    4. Services offered to general public.
    5. No instruction required.
    6. No training required.
    7. No integration.
    8. Work done off premises.
    9. Paid by job or commission.
    10. Legally obligated to complete the contract.
