Center For Commercialization of Advanced Technology Partnership
The Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT) is a unique partnership designed to accelerate the development and application of advanced technologies to solve real-world problems. The SDSU Research Foundation, UCSD's Jacob School of Engineering and CONNECT, the Security Network, and the Navy's SPAWAR Systems Center have joined together in this $29 million Department of Defense (DOD) sponsored technology commercialization program. CCAT is designed to fast-track DOD, industry and academic technologies into commercial and/or defense - related enterprises. Subject technologies may lead to new start-up ventures or be incorporated into existing companies.
