EMC Internship Program

Employers For-Profit

The EMC's Entrepreneur Internship program was originally established in 1998 with a grant from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation for Entrepreneurial Leadership. The program places talented and motivated SDSU MBA and MSBA students with emerging growth companies, venture capital firms and service organizations to foster entrepreneurial initiatives. Companies gain talented employees while providing students exposure to real-life situations that can't be taught in the classroom.

Internships typically last 150 hours over the course of the semester and students are paid between $15-20 per hour depending on the scope of the internship and the student’s commensurate experience. Once a suitable candidate is identified, the company is invoiced for the intern's compensation plus an additional 30% fee to cover program administration, employee taxes and social security.
