The economics
department provides a number of scholarships and
assistantships to students with strong records of
scholastic achievement.
Teaching & Research Assistantships
A number of teaching
and research assistantships are available for
qualified students. Appointments permitting up to 20
hours of service per week are available. In
addition, students interested in pursuing teaching
careers at the community college level, may apply
for a teaching apprenticeship position. To apply for
either a RA or TA position, fill out the RA/TA
application form enclosed in your application
packet or download the form below. For more details,

Scholarships & Other Support
Terhune
Scholarship: Incoming students may apply
for a Terhune scholarship. Scholarships are designed
to cover tuition and fees for the first year of
graduate study. To apply, fill out the scholarship
application form enclosed in your application packet
or download a copy of the application now.

CPE
Scholarships: The Center for Public
Economics annually awards several scholarships
ranging from $1,000 to $300. These awards are
usually made during Spring semester. For an
application contact the main office of the
Department of Economics.
Tuition
Waivers: The University has available a
program to provide waivers of non-resident tuition
for a number of highly qualified students, including
foreign students. For more information contact the
graduate advisor.
