Weekly Meeting
Don't forget! We're having our weekly meeting on Monday, September 11 at noon at Scripps Cottage. Barry Mann is giving a talk on "Creating Your Career." Next week's speaker is Casting Director Sam Warren.
Weekend Party!
Thanks to those who braved the reconstruction of the 5 freeway to come to the party at Ski Beach. And aside from the homeless person Sheila accosted in a vain attempt to get him to take leftover hotdog buns, a grand time was had by all. In a strange twist of fate, Secretary Colette almost ascended to the Presidency as President Dan and Vice President Brian nearly wiped each other out playing badminton. If you missed it, it's your loss! You missed the flying condom over Sea World! Come to the next one and you, too, can witness the silliness that is Skull and Dagger.
Auditions
Get your songs and monologues prepared. Auditions for Yours, Anne and Medea's Children are Monday, September 11 through Wednesday, September 13. Sign up for any remaining time slots on the call board upstairs in the Drama Department Office.
Trivia Contest
The winner of last week's Trivia Contest is Tim Heitman! He correctly guessed the line from Shakespeare's The Tempest. Talk to Patrick Miner about claiming your award. But, I have something to say. Only two people submitted entries while at least six more of you told me you knew the answer. So Martha, Lisa, and all the rest of you, merely telling me the answer isn't good enough. Unless you get me to write it down, I probably won't remember who you are. Write your answer on a piece of paper and put it in the Skull and Dagger box in the Drama Department Office. You can't win if you don't play. And you don't need to be a member of S&D to win the weekly prize (but you do need to be a member to win the Grand Prize at the end of the semester, so be sure to sign up!) This week's line:
When you know you can't have what you want, where's the profit in wishing?
