About CSA
What is CSA?

The Cambodian Student Association is a non-profit organization, organized by students and community members of San Diego. CSA promotes Cambodian cultural and traditions, provide educational, community services and leadership skills.

We have been established at San Diego State University for five years.
Events that you have worked on:
Community Services:

The CSA main event is the Cambodian New Year Cultural Show. This is one of the largest events for the Cambodian-American community. Our goal is to bring awareness of cultural, traditions and diversity to the San Diego community. We are inviting everyone to experience this

Events that we've worked with were the Silver Stand Half Marathon for people with disabilities, Breast cancer walk with the American Cancer Society, I love a clean San Diego with this we've adopted two bus stops that we clean regularly, and Khmer unity games.
In addition to I Love a clean San Diego, we currently tutor kids at Crawford High School with Crawford Community Connection, hosting a book drive to be given to students in Cambodia. Organizing a scholarship fundraiser for Niseth Khmer, participating in a news-letter sponsored by UPAC regarding second hand smoke and trans-national tobacco. We are on the planning committee with the Cambodian Buddhist Society of San Diego to put together a community's event for the New Year.
Our future plans are feeding the homeless at Saint Vincent de Paul, volunteering for elementary and junior high schools, participating in AMVET, and providing community services for high school students and leadership skills.
Affiliations:

We are very active and wide spread, reaching out to the community. We are apart of a Cambodian Student Council, which consists of SDSU, UCSD, USC, UCLA,UCI, Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State.

We work with other organizations on campus with high school conferences, which consist of 2-300 students, fashion/talent show, Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Night in which we performed traditional dances, the Native American Student Association.
Why we are here?

We are here to find resources and support through your organization. To get a better ideal on how to run an organization smoothly, how to network with other organizations. And how to maintain our organization at a consistent level.
