HomeThe Department of Classics and Humanities was established in 1969 as the Department of Classical and Oriental Languages. The Major in Classics was established in 1971. Humanities began as an interdisciplinary program in the late 1950s. The Major in Humanities was established in 1986 and taken into the new Department of Classics and Humanities in 1990. There are also Minors in Classics and in Humanities. The Department shares its offices with the Department of Religious Studies. Visitors to campus may obtain parking directions from the information window at the Chemical and Geological Sciences Laboratory at the College Ave. exit from Interstate 8. (Campus Map) |
