Character Practice for Lesson 2 (Due 9/17/08)

You will be handing in character sheet(s) for every lesson.

The sheet to write characters on can be downloaded at:

The 43 characters for this lesson are:

 華盛翰較熟悉屋傢具窗戶擺被毯櫃掛架空調棟樓設備舊廁所恐怕餐廳商店品差烘乾靜般猜胃別急附

Watch the PPT online for animated stroke order demonstrations for each of the characters for this lesson. http://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/dept/chinese/ICL2/documents/ICB2L2characters.ppt

Write each character 8 times.  You should write them with the right number of strokes and the correct stroke-order.

You should put pinyin and English meaning at the beginning and end of each line, in the 1st and the 10th column, to strengthen the association between the sound, meaning and shape.  In situations where single characters do not have clear meanings, give the meanings of the combinations they enter into.

You should also put down the number of strokes below the first character.

You should identify the meaning/sound clues and mnemonic tips of each character, at least the ones shown in the ppt.  If you have other mnemonic tips to help with memorization, you can also put them down.
