Dialogue I

Miss Xie: The weather is better today than yesterday. It's no longer raining.

Mr. Lan: What's the weather going to be like tomorrow? I hope it won't rain

tomorrow, either.

Miss Xie: I read the weather forecast in today's paper. The weather will be even

better tomorrow than today. It not only won't rain, it will also be a bit

warmer.

Mr. Lan: That's great. I asked Miss Li to go to the park with me to see the red

leaves tomorrow.

Miss Xie: Really? But Miss Li went to Shanghai this morning with Mr. Wang.

Mr. Lan: You don't say! What shall I do tomorrow?

Miss Xie: You can watch a video at home!

Dialogue II

Xiao Ye: Too bad. It's pouring again.

Xiao Xia: I just read the newspaper. The paper says the weather is going to

be bad all this week. It will be next week before the weather gets better.

Xiao Ye: Really? Then we can't go out this weekend. It's been too hot lately. It's

really uncomfortable.

Xiao Xia: The weather is like this in the summer in Taipei. In two months the

weather will be much cooler than it is now.

Xiao Ye: In two months? I'm going back to the United States next month.

Xiao Xia In Taiwan, it rains often in spring, and it's cold in winter. In summer it's

hot and muggy. Next time you?d best come in the fall.
