Following my graduation from SDSU in December 95, I married and got a job working at American Pre-schools in my chosen field! While working, I obtained my clear teaching credential from U.C. Irvine. I then began teaching first grade at a private school, St. Pius V, in Buena Park. I taught first grade for 6 years, then moved on to fourth grade for a period of two years. While I was teaching at St. Pius, I was working on my masters degree at Cal State Fullerton. I received a Masters of Science in Reading and a Reading Specialists Credential from that institution. I then opened my reading clinic, Reading Horizons, in the city of Orange. I have now owned the company for 10 years. I find it to be very fulfilling and plan to continue with it in the future.
