BA 780 , SUPERVISOR EVALUATION LEARNING ACTIVITY

MEET ANYWHERE, Inc.

April 28, 2003

To Whom It May Concern:On February 4, 2002, Jill Overstreet started working for me as an intern. It is my pleasure to write this letter of evaluation and recommendation for her as she has been a true asset.

Hours Worked:

She worked over 200 hours in her internship and successfully completed many company projects and all five of her assigned school tasks.

Assigned School Projects

Ms. Overstreet’s first assignment was to learn our ACT database management system. She picked this up quickly and demonstrated the ability to input and extract data that I requested.

Her second task was to create a database of high priority hotels in the United States that best met our business model. To accomplish this, she had to research hotels and determine how well they could help us in our business, obtain required information, and then input this information into ACT. The part of ACT was extremely detailed and will help us coordinate our needs more efficiently in the future.

Ms. Overstreet’s third task involved creating a system for contacting clients and coordinating their meeting requirements. This involved creating a way to track arranging for hotel rooms, transportation, and logistics for the group. She has developed several forms that we now use to document each step in the process, which has reduced our error rate and made us more efficient. This task also required her to interact with clients and vendors to better understand the needs of each group. She was professional and engaging, and demonstrated her comprehension of our services by finalizing one client’s requests.

Ms. Overstreet’s fourth task was to learn the key theme-based activities we use and develop a theme binder containing pertinent information to help us interact with clients better. Using the themes already developed, Ms. Overstreet organized all the ideas into a binder, and then more fully developed them by providing additional planning details and pricing for each type of event. This has saved us a lot of time and we have found that many clients like the theme concept.

For her fifth task, Ms. Overstreet learned how we currently obtain feedback from our clients and then developed a template for everyone to use when meeting with clients. She also created a binder to put these completed templates in for later reference by everyone. Many employees have expressed their satisfaction with both the template and binder. They indicate that it makes it easier to find information as well as standardizes the questions they have to ask clients.

Additional Comments

With virtually no direct knowledge or experience, Ms. Overstreet absorbed information and put it to practical use in no time at all. She is a quick study. Ms. Overstreet’s attention to detail and ability to work independently and produce high quality work are huge attributes to our team’s success. She is a leader by nature, always setting the example by being enthusiastic and a cheerleader for the team. In our office, we never work on just one project. We answer phone calls while working on several other projects simultaneously. Ms. Overstreet demonstrated efficiency in multi-tasking on a regular basis.

Ms. Overstreet regularly seeks opportunities to help us streamline our processes by taking initiative and finding ways to contribute more. This past month, Ms. Overstreet has helped out by doing several additional projects. She developed as restaurant guide for San Diego and San Francisco. She organized a hotel binder by taking all the information and putting it into a uniform spreadsheet format. Furthermore, Ms. Overstreet reorganized the internship binder, adding her own advice to it and making it useful and easy to read for future interns.

Ms. Overstreet has proved to be a valuable asset to our team. If I can answer any additional questions, please give me a call at the office at (619) 555-4555 or on my cell phone at (858) 555-5555. Again, Ms. Overstreet would be a great asset to any company and I hope she will continue to work for us for a long time.

Warm Regards,

(Original Signed)
