American Indian Studies First Nations Studies Exchange Program
The Department has established an exchange program with the University
of British Columbia. It is open to all students affiliated with
the SDSU Department of American Indian Studies, who have taken
at least one year of coursework and are in good academic standing
(GPA of 2.5 or higher).
UBC offers many courses of interest to American Indian scholars,
including many courses on First Nations law, art, environmental
management, languages, and more. We hope SDSU students will take
advantage of this wonderful opportunity to experience First Nations
cultures firsthand.
SDSU Financial Aid programs are available to all qualified students,
so apply early! All SDSU Financial Aid matters are coordinated
by Ms. Angie Caruso in the SDSU Office of Financial Aid, SSW 3605.
Please note that participants in this exchange program must still
pay SDSU tuition.
Participating students will also be responsible for making their
own arrangements with the University of British Columbia Housing
Office. Do not delay, as student housing is at a premium.
For more information, contact the department at 619-594-6991.
