Attendance:
Attendance
is not mandatory. You are paying to
receive an education, therefore it is your choice to come to class or not.
However, I will take attendance on most days.
Your presence in class will not factor into your grade, but will
determine your eligibility to get any extra credit points.
Any more than 5 recorded absences during the semester, regardless of
the reason, will make you ineligible to gain extra credit points.
This rule will also apply if the extra credit activity has already been
completed.
Extra-credit:
This
is an attempt to get 363 students engaged in community based programs and
research that involves the disabled population.
I feel that these activities solidify some of the concepts and ideas that
we discuss in class. I will mention
these opportunities as they arise. Previous
opportunities have included participation in activity programs for the disabled.
Your participation in these offerings is voluntary and your participation
in these activities implies your assumption of risk or injury.
The instructor, department, university or the outside agency are not
responsible for the occurrence of injury, harm or damage that may occur as a
result of your participation.
Exams:
There will be 3 exams during the semester.
Exams will comprise of both multiple choice and short essay formats.
Students will receive a review session prior to each exam and will have
the majority of class period to complete the test.
** All exam dates are tentatively scheduled and may change.
Students will get approximately 2-weeks advanced notice for any date
adjustments.
