A Student Account System is now available on ROHAN - the Sun Sparc SunFire 4800 computer. This system allows enrolled
SDSU students to create an account on ROHAN via TELNET
from on campus or via modem from off campus. Enrolled is
defined as a student who is registered for classes during the current
semester. Student accounts will be active one semester after the last semester
completed at SDSU.
Students can add an account by connecting to ROHAN and opening a terminal session.
In LL-200 (Love Library Student Computing Lab) at a PC or Macintosh computer, open a Telnet session.
See the consultants, if you need assistance with the computers.
When prompted with login:, login as student and press enter
Enter your student ID number, last name, and phone number, when prompted.
A unique username will be assigned and activated immediately with paperwork
generated in LL-200 (SDSU Student Computing Center). To pick-up the account, students will need to bring their SDSU Student ID to LL-200. After signing an agreement of usage, students will be given a copy of the agreement with their username and password. NOTE: If the account information is not picked up in two months, the
account will be deleted.
The password can be changed (See the appropriate handout for your account --
#0200 Guide to Using ROHAN [available
in the labs]).
