Questions and Answers
Q1. How do I print SIMS/R screens?
A1. SIMS/R screens are designed for display on a screen. If you need to print, you should use a report designed for your need. Printing reports directly from your computer, such as student transcripts or class lists, is currently only supported by the Oracle install. However, if you do want to do a printout of a screen the following directions will help you do so:
- MacOS
- Follow the Printing Direction in the Macintosh Notes page.
- Windows Thin Client (Terminal Server Client)
- See the Windows Thin Client Printing page.
- Windows Oracle (Only used in Enrollment Services, Graduate Division, and Extended Studies).
- From the Action menu select Print. Print as usual.
Q2. Can I change my SIMS/R password?
A2. No, not yet.
Q3. Why is the SIMS/R screen so small?
A3. The SIMS/R screens are designed for 640x480 screen resolution. Most newer computer systems are set to higher resolutions (such as 800x600 or 1024x768), which make the SIMS/R screens look small.
Q4. What do I do after the login screen?
A4. Check the Quick Start page for instructions.
