Jane K. Smith, Ph.D.
As
head of Academic Services, Dr. Smith:
• Assists faculty in the development of curricular proposals.
• Handles the university-wide
review and processing of all curricular
proposals.
• Coordinates
the production of the General Catalog, Graduate Bulletin,
Imperial Valley Campus Bulletin, and the SDSU Curriculum Guide.
• Works with the CSU Chancellor's Office to provide information
regarding new degrees and updates to Academic Master Plans.
• Provides support and serves on the Undergraduate Curriculum
Committee, Graduate Council Curriculum Committee, General Education Committee,
and Selected Topics Committees.
In 1987, Dr. Smith received a Ph.D. in higher education from the University of
Southern Califorina having previously graduated from West Virginia University
with a B.A. in Biology and English, and Northwestern University with a M.S. in
counseling. Dr. Smith is currently administrative liaison for the San Diego Alumni
Chapter of Mortar Board, and previously served as chair of the National Alumni
Committee.
