AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
FOCUSING ON BREAST CANCER
Sigma Theta Psi's National Philanthropy is THE FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER. Our chapter has an annual "Breast Cancer Workshop" and "Hush-Hush Auction" were each sister creates a themed basket which is then given to the highest bidder. Along with the basket of goodies, each basket also comes with 2 hours of community service work done in the name of the winner. We have raised an average of $2000 yearly at our auction, which has been donated to making strides against breast cancer. We also participate in the 4 1/2 mile walk through Balboa Park in San Diego Ca. Since 1993. Making Strides has been the American Cancer Society's rallying cry to raise awareness and dollars to fight breast cancer. This year 400,000 walkers across the country collected more than $1 million.             

Together we can fight against breast cancer!!!
