Criminal Justice Curriculum for students declaring their major Fall 2008

The new criminal justice curriculum consists of a spine comprising nine required core courses, each anchoring a track of related electives, culminating in a capstone practicum experience. The tracks are: (1) Law and Society, (2) Criminal Behavior, (3) Criminal Justice Systems, (4) Criminal Justice Policy and Planning. Three elective courses are required to complete the major; students interested in pursuing a particular track as a concentration are encouraged to take additional classes in these tracks since the degree does not require a minor and these concentrations will enhance the depth of study.
