The mission of the Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) office is to provide academic, financial and personal assistance to Aztec Athletes, helping them to make satisfactory progress toward their degrees. The University takes pride in the fact that its student-athletes can pursue and gain their degree in a wide variety of subject areas.

Student-Athlete Support Services offers Aztec Athletes one-on-one mentoring, a computer learning center, as well as traditional methods of assistance, including tutoring and study hall. The highly trained and dedicated staff at SASS is committed to helping each student-athlete maintain the high standards of academic excellence demanded by both the NCAA and San Diego State University. To that end, SASS staff provides support, personal attention and access to programs available at SDSU.
