I am Professor of Women's Studies at San Diego State University. My research and writing focus on women's mental health and relationships, and I have edited over twenty books on gender, sexual orientation, and international issues. My current research focuses on lesbian relationships and mental health, and also on the stigma of women's weight. I am editor of the JOURNAL OF LESBIAN STUDIES. My teaching focuses on lesbian studies, the psychology of women, and women's mental health.
