I am currently Professor of Women’s Studies at San Diego State University, after 23 years as Professor of Psychology at the University of Vermont. My research and writing focus on women’s mental health and relationships, and I have edited over twenty books on gender, sexual orientation, and international issues. My current research focuses on lesbian relationships and mental health, and also on the stigma of women’s weight. I am editor of the JOURNAL OF LESBIAN STUDIES. My teaching focuses on lesbian studies, the psychology of women, and women’s mental health.
