Earthquake
location applet
Click on the 'Pick P' button and then on each seismogram at the P wave. A
little line and a P
should appear. Repeat with the 'Pick S' button. Picks can be re-picked. When
happy with selections,
click on 'Locate EQ' and circles should appear on the map. The earthquake
epicenter is at the
center of the circles.
Earthquake
magnitude applet
Click on start, then on the starting point of the rupture. Then click on end
and the ending point. The rupture
and approximate magnitude will appear.
