Grower
Grower is a spreadsheet file that will help you solve present value problems, particularly those that involve growing series that can run to perpetuity.
The figure below shows such a problem. The unknows could be the growth rate (eg. sg and ng or even more); the dividends; the time periods; the current price; or the discount rate ke. Grower is designed to
allow multiple growth opportunities to be valued.
The file is a available in three formats and can be obtained on the download page in the file called growerb.exe. After downloading the file, run it by double clicking, supply the
password and you will find three files:
Grower.wb3 (Quattro Pro)
Grower.wk1 (Lotus 123)
Grower.xls (Excel)
An annotated example, in PDF format, is available that demonstrates the inputs and
output from the spreadsheet.
