Dr. Ramona Pérez is a California-born Chicana anthropologist whose work focuses on the power and politics of Mexican and Mexican American communities in Oaxaca, Mexico and the United States. She is currently Associate Professor of Anthropology, Graduate Advisor of Anthropology and Associate Director of Latin American Studies at San Diego State University. Dr. Pérez received her B.A. from San Diego State University in 1992, her M.A. (1995) and her Ph.D. (1997) from the University of California, Riverside.
