Educational Opportunity Program
Participants (protégés) in the Educational Opportunity Program branch meet with mentors on a weekly basis. The guidance protégés receive from mentors at weekly meetings, through social activities and exposure to other students in the program will help motivate them to excel in school and foster a sense of community. In conjunction with one-on-one mentoring, students also receive free tutoring from trained upper classmen in a multitude of subjects. The purpose of the different components of this program is to retain students and help them graduate.
The program also has a fully equipped mentoring office. This office provides participants with a space to meet with their mentor, do their homework, and socialize.
