College of Business

The College of Business Mentoring Program is designed to assist business students with academic enrichment during their first year at San Diego State University. To gain insight about the requirements for success in their chosen academic career, participating Protégés are matched with a Student Mentor majoring in business administration. Each protégé is required to meet with his/her assigned Student Mentor at least once a week for a group study and/or to discuss issues and concerns about college life.

Each week Protégés have the opportunity to hear relevant presentations from Student Mentors, speakers from the business and University community, and from Faculty Mentors. The potential to participate in social functions and to attend computer application workshops also exists. Each Protégé also has the opportunity to network with business professors and business graduate students to discuss issues related to academic excellence and the successful completion of a business program.

Protégés have the opportunity to receive university credit for successful participation in the weekly workshops.
